On 02/22, at the auditorium of the Pires do Rio City Hall, an event was held through the Municipal Secretariat of Social Assistance and Friato Alimentos, which resulted in the delivery of Maternity Kits. Several authorities were present on the occasion, and Mayor Cida Tomazini expressed her joy in seeing a project that helps the environment of the city of Pires do Rio, highlighting the importance of doing our part.
Friato is committed to promoting sustainable practices in its industrial plant and the local community. The Oil in the Future Project exemplifies this commitment, collecting 2,200 L of used vegetable oil in 2023 thanks to the help of the population of Pires do Rio and surrounding areas, preventing environmental contamination. The funds generated from the sale of the oil were allocated to the municipality's social assistance, benefiting 84 pregnant women with maternity kits.
