On October 17th, Friato, in partnership with Unimed, promoted the Pink October Walk, bringing together about 150 women in a moment dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer and valuing women's health.
The initiative reinforced the importance of self-care, information, and early diagnosis, gathering participants in a mobilization marked by unity and the encouragement of habits that contribute to quality of life.
The walk was part of a special schedule carried out by Friato throughout October, which also featured lectures at the Breaded Products, Hatchery, and Friato units, expanding female employees' access to guidance on women's health.
As an additional incentive, female employees over 40 years old who participated in the actions and have a Unimed health insurance plan were exempt from the copayment for their mammogram exam, helping to facilitate access to this important screening exam.
Hosting these initiatives strengthens the partnership between Friato and Unimed and reaffirms the company's commitment to promoting health, well-being, and the appreciation of its female employees.
More than just an October campaign, health care is a commitment that deserves attention all year round.
