Created by the Secretariat of Agriculture and Environment and the City Hall of Pires do Rio, the project aims to contribute to solid waste collection and the implementation of selective waste collection in the municipality through a public-private partnership.
Friato couldn't miss out on participating in this project, as it has a deep concern for the environment. Therefore, it donated 10 new containers that will help with collection and committed to contributing even more to the project: for every container received, Friato will donate the same amount, encouraging the participation of other business owners.

Separating your trash is quite simple and also makes the job easier for waste collection professionals. Check out these tips and come take care of the environment with us!
1. Do not mix recyclables with organics.
2. Packaging should be washed—preferably—and must be dry.
3. Reduce the size of PET bottles and cans by crushing them with your hands or stepping on them.
4. Wet paper can be recycled, but dirty paper cannot.
5. Wrap broken glass and other sharp materials in thick paper—such as newspaper, or store them inside a cardboard box.
6. Paper with organic material is not recyclable. Example: greasy pizza boxes, sanitary paper, napkins, etc.
7. Do not crumple paper.
