Ingredients List
- pasta
- 1 cup (tea) of grated Parmesan cheese on the thin drain;
- 1 cup (of tea) of cornmeal;
- 1 cup (of tea) of wheat flour;
- 1 teaspoon of salt;
- 1 teaspoon of sugar;
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder;
- 1 egg;
- 6 tablespoons of milk;
- 4 tablespoons of butter
- Ingredients for the filling
- 300 grams of grated mozzarella on the thick drain;
- 300 grams of Cold Ham in small cubes;
- oregano to taste.
Preparation Mode
- In a bowl place the Parmesan cheese, cornmeal, wheat flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, egg, milk, butter and mix well
- Knead the dough until smooth and homogeneous.
- Wrap in plastic wrap and take to rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- I left it resting for 1 hour.
- In another bowl mix the mozzarella, the Friato ham and the oregano and set aside.
- After the dough rest time, remove the plastic wrap and divide the dough into two or more parts.
- Place a piece of the dough between two long sheets of parchment paper or clean, dry plastic bags and roll the dough very thin with a rolling pin.
- Be careful not to leave it too thin and end up breaking when closing the pastry.
- With a round cutter or with the mouth of a cup cut 11 cm diameter discs of the dough.
- Place a portion of ham filling in the center of each disk (about 1 tablespoon), fold it in half in a half moon and close tightening the edges so that the sides are unified.
- (you can give another finish to the edges of the pastries, like using a fork or closing them like an empanada).
- Repeat this process with all the dough.
- Fry the pastries in hot oil until golden brown.
- Remove and drain on absorbent paper.
- So just serve this delight to your guests!
- Makes 10 units
