canjiquinha with gizzard of cold chicken

Ingredients

500 g of Friato gizzard clean and seasoned with salt and pepper;
  • 150 g of hominy;
  • 2 tablespoons of lard (can be oil or olive oil);
  • ½ pepper cut into strips;
  • 2 garlic cloves;
  • 1 can of tomato sauce;
  • 1 onion cut into strips;
  • Pepper or pepper sauce to taste;
  • Salt and black pepper to taste.

Preparation

Mode

  1. Melt the lard in a hot pressure cooker, sauté the gizzard Friato and then cook for about 30 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile heat another pan, add the fat, sauté the onion and garlic.
  3. Add the peppers, saute a little more and put the canjiquinha.
  4. Season and sauté a little more.
  5. Then add the cooked gizzards, tomato sauce and pepper, cover with water and cook for approximately 10 more minutes.
  6. Besides easy, this recipe is super delicious accompanied with white rice.
