Structure

To meet all of the demands of verticalized production, Friato maintains a large structure to supply every stage of production, investing in state-of-the-art equipment and in continual training of all employees and partners in the field and in the Group’s factories.

PREMIX FEED FACTORY

Dedicated units for production of components in the feed given to broiler chickens and stock.This includes oversight by nutritionists, periodic analysis of micro-ingredients, strict quality criteria and strict cleaning and sterilization protocols.

FEED FACTORY (STOCK)

Approved through control of the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) required by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA), the factory currently produces 160 tons of exclusively plant-based feed daily, with 100% of raw material assessed by quality control to assure the birds’ biosecurity.

BREEDER FARMS (GROW-OUT)

A 400-hectare property with 9 centers and capacity for 1 million birds.The farms use the Dark House system, with all birds subject to a process of selection and vaccination, with a lab accredited by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply performing serological monitoring of the birds every 5 weeks.

EGG PRODUCTION FARM

With 18 housing centers, the farm areas plus the reforestation areas have climate-controlled laying rooms containing 560,000 housed broiler parent stock, with production of 96 million eggs/year.Eggs are classified, selected and transported daily to the incubator using climate-controlled transportation.

INCUBATOR

Currently, 96 million eggs are incubated annually inside of a modern incubation center that operates using the latest generation of electronic equipment, with strict control of biosecurity and restricted access.All 81 million chicks born during the year undergo a selection process and are later vaccinated and transported in appropriate vehicles by employees trained in proper accommodation of the chicks.

FEED FACTORY (BROILER CHICKEN)

The entire production of 1,000 tons/day at this unit is geared towards supplying integrated aviaries.Feed is made solely of superior standard raw material produced at other Grupo Tomazini units and is put through a rigorous analysis process, carried out by a lab installed inside the factory, guaranteeing the best performance of poultry in the field and providing an excellent quality food for the end consumer.

AVIARIES

Operating under an integration regime capable of accommodating 14 million birds in 60-day cycles, Friato has approximately 450 aviaries, 20 of which are owned by the brand.Under this model, the company is required to:deliver 1-day-old chicks to integrated partners, provide the feed necessary and provide technical field support for breeding.Each breeder is responsible for maintenance of aviaries and hiring of manpower.All farms are installed within an average radius of 20km from the industrial complex so as to facilitate control of cleaning and management, which is done regularly by Friato technicians.

Daily slaughter capacity of 320,000 birds and 1,200 tons daily of finished products.The unit only receives animals raised on the company’s own farms or on integrated farms.The technological processes for defeathering, evisceration, cooling, cutting, packaging, freezing and stocking are done for up to 3,500 tons.All stages are controlled by trained employees who are qualified to handle perishable products.Each of the processes strictly complies with all federal standards, with food safety and with the self-control programs required by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply.

The food industrialization process at Friato is done using the latest generation in automated equipment and with strict control of selection and classification of raw material.All stages comply with food safety standards and the requirements of HACCP (Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points).The result is a final product with excellent quality and more flavor for the consumer.
